Miscarriage

Miscarriage is the loss of pregnancy occurring before 20 weeks gestation. Most miscarriages occur during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Approximately 15% of all diagnosed pregnancies end in miscarriage. As many as 50% of all pregnancies may end in miscarriage, as most losses occur very early after fertilization, before a woman realizes she is pregnant.
